The Towner Family: 2012

Sorry I haven't blogged in so long. There is far too much to play catch up on so we will just move forward to what is recent. Christian and I got the opportunity to go to the Bahamas with Toyota and thanks to my parents watching the girls for us I could really relax. We had so much fun. We haven't been on a trip by ourselves since our Honeymoon, so seven years. Yeah I know, long time coming. LOL. Our vacations usually consist of family reunions which are great and all, but this was nice to have a break from the kids for four days and actually get to lay out in the sun instead of sit in the shade with a infant. =) We kept saying that it was like Hawaii all over again (that is where we first started dating for anyone who didn't know). So it was wonderful.

The first day we didn't get there until late afternoon so we just spent some time walking around the resort and the beach checking everything out. The second day we did some water sports. I got one picture of Christian paddle boarding once I came in. We took out the aqua boats which was different. We went over to their private island which was really nice since it wasn't so crowded. Everyone was at the pools. I don't know why, you can go to a pool anywhere, not the beach (I am sure it was the pool bars that kept so many bodies there, but that just made it nicer for us on the beach =)). We just laid out all day and cooled off in the ocean. It was awesome. Too bad I didn't even get tan, I wore 30spf because everyone told me "you'll burn" and I walked away from the vaca with zero tan lines. lol. I guess it's better than being fried right?

Tuesday night was a company dinner. It was awesome it was on the private island on the beach. There was every food you could think of especially meat. Shrimp, ribs, BBQ chicken, crab legs, steak, the list goes on. So good. We danced and ate and socialized. Fun night.

Wednesday Christian's company took him Deep Sea fishing and sent me to the spa. Can't complain. I got a massage and manicure. Very relaxing. Chris had fun, but wished they would have caught something being out there for so long. Oh well. The rest of our time was spent on the beach and at the different restaurants. There were a lot of options which was good because being prego and with morning sickness I needed lots of options. =) I have to say though that my favorite part was just relaxing on the beach with my hubby drinking my virgin pina colada. =) Enjoy the pix!
